Beyond paper and ink, keyboard and screen

Have you ever had experiences in your life that were beyond your imaginations, beyond what you could handle. I have and it made me think of how great, how creative, how magnificient our God is.

It was Columbus Day. The kids have the day off. Hubby decided to take half a day off to spend time with them. We did a mini road trip and it brought us to one of the most beautiful place we have even been in our lives. The Poconos, a very historical, natural and pure destination.

As usual, I will let the pictures do the writing...

Old buildings with a very special character of their own surround the streets

Autumn leaves were falling every where. A grand old dane still stood firm

After a hearing, you could always adjourn to a deli

After exploring the city, we thought it would be a great idea to do a train ride.

Buying the train tickets and rushing to board. We just made it. The ticketing booth and the ticket inspectors were so surreal.
It was like a page from one of the many Charles Dickens novels. How he described them. Suddenly, all these descriptions became real.

Inside the train and the ticket inspector came to check our tickets. Gosh, it seemed like I was living in Dicken's era

The train ride was simply awesome. I have been to Authur's pass in NZ, sat on the Buffing Billy in Melbourne but this one was really the greatest.

The train ride saw a burst of bright, beautiful colours - yellow, orange and red trees just breezed pass us.
There were lakes, creeks and people were boating. It was such a beautiful sight

After the train ride, we continued with our journey, not knowing that there were more beauty and surprises waiting for us.

This road led us to...

...a most beautiful and unspoilt lake. It was so serene and we just soaked in all its beauty.

This beauty, we must cherish

I was so mesmerized by all these beauty. There is now a reluctance to leave this beautiful country. I am highly incapable to write and describe about the joy I have experienced, the beauty I have beheld...because they are simply beyond words. It would be most perfect if all these can be brought home to share with you.

One of the most regretful thing in Singapore is that nature is demolished to make way for a concrete jungle. The creations of God has to give way to the creations of man, We are left with nothing natural, pure and simple to enjoy.
