Winter storm approaching...

Received a call today, informing us that school will be dismissed 2 hours earlier. Checked on the weather site and found that a winter storm is approaching

SCHOOLS DISMISSING EARLY AS WINTER STORM APPROACHES
Many schools have chosen to send their students home early today, ahead of a winter storm that's expected to bring us snow, sleet, and freezing rain. A WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect for almost all of the 69 News viewing area through tomorrow morning. Schuylkill County is under an ICE STORM WARNING.

The snow and sleet will become steadier toward evening. Accumulations of an inch or two of snow and sleet can be expected for most of the area, with perhaps up to three inches in the Poconos. We do expect a prolonged period of sleet. We may see the sleet mix with and turn to freezing rain after midnight and continue into early Wednesday before changing to plain rain mid to late morning. A significant buildup of ice is possible by Wednesday morning. Watch for slippery conditions (especially on untreated surfaces) this evening into Wednesday along with ice build-up on tree limbs and power lines.

Argh....not that icy, slippery road condition again. How can I not appreciate the hot sunny island of Singapore, my homeland!
